Studio Policy

Lessons

I teach 30-, 45-, and 60-minute lessons Monday–Friday on a weekly basis at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church & School in Wayzata, where I am Director of Music and Liturgy. I can also teach in your home or remotely. I teach piano, voice, and music theory.

Tuition

Lesson fees are prepaid at the beginning of each month based on the lessons planned for that month. New students may pay only for the first lesson before beginning monthly payments.

• $30 — 30 minutes
• $40 — 45 minutes
• $50 — 60 minutes

Students or parents are responsible for the cost of books and music. Lessons in a student’s home may include an additional travel fee depending on distance.

Expectations

Students should bring all music and assignment books to each lesson. Practice expectations are determined individually based on age, level, and goals. Piano students are strongly encouraged to have an acoustic piano or weighted-key digital piano at home.

Cancellations and Make-up Lessons

• Cancellations with more than 24 hours’ notice, whether by the student or teacher, receive a make-up lesson.
• Cancellations by the parent or student within 24 hours receive no make-up or refund.
• Missed lessons receive no make-up or refund.
• If I cancel within 24 hours, a refund or make-up lesson will be provided.
• One month’s notice is required to discontinue lessons. Already scheduled and paid lessons are not refunded.

Onboarding and Communication

New students or their parent or guardian should complete the registration form. Parents are welcome to sit in on lessons. For children, phone and email communication is conducted through the parent or guardian.
